Paintings and Fine Art
Painting is the part of the Vernissage that collectors come for. This section gathers work by Armenian artists across several decades: landscapes of the Ararat valley and old Yerevan, still lifes, portraits, urban graphics.
Oil on canvas predominates, but you will also find watercolour, tempera, pastel and artist prints. Some works come from studios that are still active; others reached the market from family collections and are being sold by the second or third generation.
When choosing a painting, what matters most is precisely what no description conveys: the texture of the brushwork, the depth of colour, the condition of the canvas at its edges. Sellers therefore post several photographs, including the framed work and a close view of the surface. Dimensions appear in every listing — the first thing to check against the wall you have in mind.
If you need further photographs or details of provenance, ask the seller directly from the item page.
