Antique Chandeliers

0

A chandelier changes a room more than any other object: it sets both the light and the apparent height of the ceiling. This section gathers crystal, bronze and brass chandeliers, along with sconces and pendant fittings of Soviet and European manufacture.

Three things are worth confirming before buying. The completeness of the drops: crystal chandeliers lose them over decades, and later replacements differ in tint and cut, which shows once the light is on. The condition of the socket and wiring: old wiring is almost always replaced, a straightforward job, but one to allow for. And the weight — a heavy bronze chandelier needs a proper fixing into the structure, not merely a hook.

Dimensions are always listed: diameter and height decide whether the piece will sit in a room with an ordinary ceiling.

Ask the seller from the item page if you need assembled photographs or details of the wiring.
